edcabotThe driver double checked with Ed about 5 times to ask if the location to pick up his friend really was correct. He assured the driver that as unorthodox as the location was, it was right. If the driver had known Audrey at all he probably wouldn't have second guessed it. "Unorthodox" was kind of her thing, but Ed liked that. She was one of the most interesting, kindest people he knew. Maybe not always nice but she was definitely kind to her friends. In her own Audrey way.
When the dark car pulled up the driver gave a honk and Ed leaned back in his seating, waiting for Audrey to come. He didn't normally take advantage of his family's wealth like some of the people in his social structure did. But he hadn't used any of his alloted personal jet time last year so he felt this one exception was okay. The hit to the environment was worth it for poutine. He would make sure to do something later to help reduce his carbon footprint.
But for now, there would be poutine and conversation with his friend.
